On Thursday, October 18, 2018, the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement was held between the French company SEDIVER (France) and the SONELGAZ Group, the ELEC EL DJAZAIR Holding through its subsidiary AL ELEC, and the company ENAVA for the manufacturing of electrical line insulators. The event was attended by the Minister of Energy, Mr. Mustapha GUITOUNI, and the Minister of Industry and Mines, Mr. Youcef YOUSFI.
The capital of this new Joint Venture, named SEDIVER-Algérie, is distributed as follows: 49% owned by SEDIVER, 20% by AL ELEC, 16% by SONELGAZ, and 15% by ENAVA.
The factory will be established on ENAVA's site in Thénia (Boumerdès province) within 14 months.
This industrial unit, with an investment of 2.971 billion dinars and a share capital of 894 million dinars, will employ 154 workers. Its objective, besides supplying equipment to the SONELGAZ group and its specialized subsidiaries, is to achieve an industrial integration rate of 44% at startup, with the goal of reaching 100% after 16 months of production.
Sediver-Algérie will produce nearly 1.8 million insulators per year, with 20% to 30% intended for export.
